Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 28, 2026

Introduction

At DesignYourBot, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our platform. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our no-code trading strategy platform.

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in through Azure AD (Microsoft authentication), we collect:

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Basic profile information from your Microsoft account

Usage Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data about how you interact with our platform. This includes:

  • Pages visited and features used
  • Time spent on the platform
  • Device type and browser information
  • Geographic location (country/region level)
  • Referral source

This data is collected in anonymized form and does not identify you personally.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not track or have access to your trading strategies. Your strategies are encrypted with keys that only you control, following our zero-knowledge security architecture. This means:

  • We cannot see the indicators you combine
  • We cannot see your strategy configurations
  • We cannot see your backtesting parameters
  • We cannot access your trading logic in any form

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account Management: To authenticate you, manage your account, and provide access to our platform
  • Service Improvement: To understand how you use our platform and improve our features based on anonymous usage patterns
  • Communication: To send you important service announcements or support responses if you contact us
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud and security incidents
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

Authentication and Security

We use Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for secure authentication. When you sign in with your Microsoft account, your credentials are handled by Azure AD, and we only receive basic profile information (email and name). Your passwords are never shared with us—they remain under Microsoft's secure management.

Your trading strategies are protected by encryption with keys that only you possess. This ensures that even our engineering team cannot access or view your strategy data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We may share limited information with vendors who assist us in operating our platform (e.g., cloud hosting providers), under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Anonymous usage data from Google Analytics is retained according to Google's standard policies.

Your encrypted trading strategies remain in your account until you delete them.

Your Privacy Rights

Data Access and Deletion

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@designyourbot.com with your request.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Your account information (email, name)
  • Your encrypted trading strategies
  • Your backtesting history
  • Any other account-specific data

Anonymous usage data in Google Analytics cannot be attributed to you individually, so it is not affected by deletion requests.

Response Timeline

We will respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember your preferences
  • Collect anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can choose to disable cookies, but this may affect your ability to use certain features of our platform.

Third-Party Services

Our platform uses the following third-party services:

  • Azure Active Directory: For authentication. See Microsoft's privacy policy for details.
  • Google Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics. See Google's privacy policy for details.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
